Job Description
Glennic Interiors Pty Ltd The role involves the manufacture, assembly, installation, and finishing of high-quality bespoke cabinetry and interior joinery for luxury marine vessels. The successful candidate will work from detailed technical drawings and specifications to produce precision cabinetry and custom interior components that meet the functional, structural, and aesthetic requirements of high-end yacht interiors.
This position requires a strong understanding of traditional and modern cabinetmaking techniques, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a specialised production environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Interpreting technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, processes, and assembly methods Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, drilling, and assembling timber and manufactured board materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery Manufacturing custom cabinets, cupboards, drawers, shelving units, furniture, and fitted interior joinery components in accordance with design specifications Selecting, preparing, and working with materials including solid timber, veneers, plywood, laminates, composite boards, and marine-grade materials Assembling components using adhesives, fasteners, dowels, screws, and mechanical fixings to produce structurally sound and precise cabinetry Installing completed cabinetry, fittings, and interior joinery components into marine vessels, ensuring correct alignment, secure fixing, and high-quality finish Fitting and adjusting hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, handles, catches, locks, and soft-close systems Sanding, trimming, and preparing surfaces for finishing, including veneers, laminates, and decorative finishes Undertaking repairs, modifications, and refinishing of cabinetry and furniture as required during production or refit works Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements, quality standards, and company procedures Collaborating with supervisors, designers, and other trades to meet production schedules and project deadlines Skills and Experience Minimum relevant Certificate III in Cabinetmaking Minimum one year of full-time relevant work experience as a Cabinetmaker Proven ability to manufacture and install custom cabinetry from technical drawings using woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools Strong knowledge of cabinetmaking materials, finishes, fixings, and construction techniques, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines and maintaining workplace health and safety standards About Company Glennic Interiors Pty Ltd is a specialised Australian cabinetmaking company established in 2007, recognised for its precision craftsmanship and commitment to quality.
