Join the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) as a Procurement Officer and play a key role in delivering smarter, value for money outcomes that strengthen essential services for NSW communities.

We are seeking two Procurement Officers to join the Category team and one Procurement Officer to join the Strategy and Policy team.
What you'll do
You'll play a key role in managing procurement activities, providing expert advice, and driving best practice across the Department.
Manage and deliver procurement projects on time and within target to support DCJ's objectives.
Provide sound, practical advice to business areas ensuring alignment with NSW Government standards.
Collaborate within a supportive, experienced team that values integrity, innovation, and professional growth in a flexible hybrid environment.
The Procurement Officer within the Category team is responsible in leading and facilitating end to end sourcing activities.
A key aspect of the role is engaging effectively with stakeholders to ensure procurement outcomes are fit for purpose, delivers value for money, aligns with business needs and complies with procurement frameworks and governance requirements.
The Procurement Officer within the Strategy and Policy team will lead initiatives that drive organisational change and strengthen procurement capability across DCJ.
This includes creating and delivering communications through multiple channels and supporting change management of procurement initiatives.
This role is also responsible for designing and delivering training programs, developing and maintaining policies, procedures, templates, and guidance materials.
What we're looking for
You're a proactive and detail oriented procurement professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering value for money outcomes.
Sound knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Proficiency in using technology.
