Location: Adrenaline Optometry, Terrigal Hours: 2–3 days per week (incl. Saturdays – rotating roster)
Adrenaline Optometry is a boutique, family-owned practice in Terrigal. We are growing and seeking a qualified Optical Dispenser or experienced Optical Assistant with strong technical skills, sales confidence, and the ability to deliver high-end customer care.
About the Role
This is a hybrid, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in providing a seamless patient experience.
You will be involved in all areas of the practice, including:
Dispensing & Technical
* Interpreting prescriptions and advising on lens and frame options
* Using digital dispensing tools for PDs, heights, adjustments
* Managing and processing patient orders accurately
* Operating Sunix practice management software
* Using HICAPS / EFTPOS confidently
Customer Service & Styling
* Assisting high-end clientele with frame styling and lens options
* Delivering friendly, professional front-of-house service
* Handling customer enquiries, emails, and follow-ups
* Assisting sports and lifestyle customers with frame and lens options
* Closing sales and optimising customer experience
Online Store & Practice Support
* Processing online orders, packing, shipping, and fulfilment
* Stock care, merchandising, and maintaining practice presentation
* Booking appointments and general admin support
* Assisting with day-to-day practice operations from open to close
What We Need
* Qualified Optical Dispenser OR 12+ months Optical Assistant experience within an optometry retail environment.
* Confident technical ability with dispensing tools and software (Sunix preferred)
* Strong digital skills across CRM systems, online ordering, and Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* A fashion-forward eye for eyewear styling
* Reliable, punctual, professional, and available on Saturdays

3. Can you confidently interpret optical prescriptions—including prism, single vision, multifocal, and other lens types and recommend suitable lens solutions?
4. Can you work Saturdays when required?
