**Job description**:
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Director, Event Management to join their team in Brisbane. This role is offering an initial 12-month temporary contract.
The
**Assistant Director, Event Management** is accountable for exercising a considerable degree of independence for the planning, co-ordinating and delivery of events and conferences from start to finish.
**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:
- Co-ordinate small and large scale events from the planning stage to running the event according to stakeholder requirements, target audience and objectives
- Assess the event process to provide post-event evaluation for stakeholders to ensure the event has met the purpose and outcomes and offer recommendations for improvement, where required
- Awareness of budgetary impacts and other financial impacts in relation to running events
- Develop tailored change management techniques and strategies and broader project management approaches, to meet deadlines and produce high quality outcomes that address business needs
- Recognise and understand the key development risks and issues impacting the business environment when developing and implementing practical solutions to emerging opportunities and risks
- Extensive Event Management experience; government preferred but not essential
- Have a positive contemporary attitude towards people with a disability
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team, including developing staff and managing performance, and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- Experience leading end-to-end high profile events in a hybrid/digital format
