A well-established, family-owned transport and logistics company based in Shepparton is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to join their growing operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that plays a vital role in connecting regional Victoria to national supply chains.
About the Company With decades of experience in container transport and logistics, our client services the movement of import and export containers between regional Victoria and the Port of Melbourne. They also operate a state-of-the-art distribution centre providing cross-docking and 3PL services.
The Opportunity This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone who is highly organised, thrives under pressure, and is passionate about a career in transport operations. You’ll be working in a supportive team workplace, coordinating a fleet of trucks across local and linehaul routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily side-loader and linehaul schedules to ensure efficient delivery and pickup of containers
- Manage import/export bookings and customer communication
- Liaise with drivers and ensure accurate run sheets, fuel records, and pre-starts are maintained
- Allocate pickups, manage de-hires, and work within ContainerChain and 1Stop systems
- Assist with weekend and after-hours planning as required
- Utilise internal transport management and fleet software systems along with Microsoft Office
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive mindset with problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail in fast-paced environments
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience in transport or logistics preferred, but not essential – training will be provided
