Job Description
We are currently looking for a IT Support Engineer to provide internal and external support across applications, desktops, and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing the IT Service Desk, resolving tickets, meeting SLAs, and supporting the full application lifecycle. The role involves first and second‐level support, user administration, hardware/software troubleshooting, and system configuration.
What you'll do:
* Ensure coordination and management of IT Service Desk and the timely resolution of requests according to SLAs. Have a deep understanding of VWFS IT applications and core infrastructure.
* Assist staff with desktop support. Have a fundamental grasp of software and hardware used by VWFS.
* Identify and resolve any hardware or software issues.
* Provide application support to internal and external users in a timely manner.
* Perform system and application support, including configuration tasks.
* Escalate technical support issues with the IT Operation and Application support team members and/or vendors as required.
* Perform root cause analysis for critical application support issues.
* Perform user and system administration tasks, and data recovery procedures.
* Take ownership of tasks assigned by the IT Management team.
* Assist with disaster recovery testing.
* Application‐level user administration tasks, set up, change and removal.
* Provide IT Induction to new employees.
* Assist IT projects with the management of user acceptance and quality assurance testing, deployment tasks in QA, UAT and PROD environments.
* Maintain and create technical documentation (KB).
* Image devices, set up, configuration and support of workstations.
* Mobile device management, configuration and support of company mobile devices.
The successful applicant:
* At least three or more years IT experience working in a system or application support role.
* Information Technology degree or Diploma.
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, MS Teams etc.), Windows Operating systems, Citrix XenApp (desirable) and Active Directory.
* Microsoft SQL query writing experience will be advantageous.
* ITIL certification desirable (Understanding of ITIL).
* Relevant IT vendor or industry certification desirable.
* Experience working in the financial industry desirable.
