We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Settlement Assistant to join our busy conveyancing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conveyancing and build a long-term career in the legal property sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing settlement packets, conducting title searches, and ensuring all required documents are ready for settlement. You will also attend to banking tasks, collect and deliver documents to banks, agents, and other third parties, and check and manage incoming and outgoing mail via the post office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare settlement packets and ensure all required documents are ready for settlement
* Conduct title searches and basic property enquiries
* Attend to banking tasks and book bank attendances when required
* Collect and deliver documents to banks, agents, and other third parties
* Check and manage incoming and outgoing mail via the post office
* Maintain and organise settlement files and paperwork
* Assist with post-settlement checks and file finalisation
