My client is an established and well-respected company with over 30 years of experience in delivering sustainable turn-key Site Preparation/Early Works Services, including Demolition, Hazmat Remediation, Bulk Earthworks, Land Remediation & On-Site Resource Recovery. They serve some of Australia's leading builders, developers, blue-chip companies, and tier one contractors.

Due to growth and expanding project scopes, they now seek a Project Manager (Civil & Demolition) to join their team.

This role is open to all experience levels (Junior to Senior), with salary and benefits reflecting your expertise.

The company's contracts focus on delivering complete "get the builder out of the ground" packages, including demolition, hazardous materials removal, site remediation, and bulk excavation. The ideal candidate should be open to managing demolition projects and developing skills in this area. Training and support will be provided for applicants without direct demolition or hazardous materials experience. You must be confident in managing clients and contracts independently from the start. Reporting to the company owner and Head of Projects, you will be an ambitious Civil Project Manager with experience in project planning, cost estimation, quality management, and team coordination.

About You:

* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related fields are preferred but not essential
* Experience in civil bulk excavation and/or land remediation projects, especially in project management, estimation, and site supervision
* Knowledge of full early works/site preparation packages, including demolition and remediation, and willingness to manage such projects
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management
* Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Workbench, Upvise, ISOpro, MS Project is highly regarded
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with support from the management team
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
* Focus on safety

The Role:

You will manage various projects, from quick turnaround rail shutdowns to multi-month early works/site preparation on large sites. Responsibilities include:

* Estimating and overseeing the estimation team on civil bids and managing project budgets
* Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, methodologies, resource allocation, and budgets
* Ensuring quality standards and client specifications are met
* Leading and coordinating project teams, facilitating communication
* Managing contracts and negotiations
* Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
* Maintaining communication with clients and managing expectations
* Ensuring regulatory compliance
* Implementing health and safety protocols

Our client is expanding their civil scope, so additional skills and experience are welcome.

A salary commensurate with experience will be offered, including base salary + superannuation + phone + laptop + car allowance or fully maintained company car. The role involves some travel to Sydney and Regional NSW but will mainly be based in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region.
