Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Site Lead Design Engineer in our team. This position will be based in the Toowoomba region and involves working on a significant dam improvement project in Queensland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the construction works, ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with the design intent and technical specifications. They will also work collaboratively with the Contractor to ensure the design is fully and correctly implemented on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Reviewing completed works and confirming their compliance with the design intent and technical specifications.
* Providing responses to design queries from the Contractor regarding design changes or site adaptations.
* Working collaboratively with the Contractor to ensure the design is fully and correctly implemented on site.
* Supporting the Contractor in addressing construction methods and decisions where design considerations are involved.
Requirements
* A degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Dam or Structural Engineering.
* RPEQ certification and previous site experience is essential.
* 15+ years' experience in a relevant field of expertise (embankment dam and related structures, construction/design).
