We require an
**HR Assistant** to aid in the coordination of the HR function across the business. Our team is primarily tertiary qualified Electrical Engineers, with HR supporting a white collar workforce and workload. Reporting to the HR Advisor, the HR Assistant is a generalist role where you are able to build on your HR studies and experience in a variety of areas including employee relations, recruitment, and workforce planning. Our specialized white-collar workforce sees limited Industrial Relations in the role, however the role will provide exposure to all aspects of HR in a technical consultant environment in the resource sector.
**Key functions of the role.**
- Participate in initiatives that promote employee safety and well-being
- Collaborate with the HR team implementing safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding the welfare of our employees and clients
- Assist with employee contractual terms and conditions including rate and rosters
- Assist with guidance on HR and ER related matters
- Manage employee records and processes
- Support the coordination all aspects of HR policy and process improvements
**About you**
To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:
- Ideally Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
- 6 - 12 months’ experience in a generalist HR Advisor capacity, ideally with some experience within the mining, resources or manufacturing sector
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all business levels
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and ideally experience with HR information systems and tools
- Able to work as part of a team and build inter-team effectiveness
- Initiative, ownership, integrity and confidence
