Debating Coach Position
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Debating Coach to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our co-curricular staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our students' debating skills and contributing to their overall educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend debates with our students each Friday afternoon and evening in Terms 1 and 2, and Tuesday afternoon and evening in Term 2 and 3, to ensure the smooth running of the debating program.
* Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and external parties to promote a positive and inclusive debating environment.
* Utilize Microsoft Office suite and other web-based management applications to manage debating events and activities.
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of debating strategies and programs that align with our school's values and goals.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience working with students, teachers, parents, and external parties in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to follow competition rules and regulations while working within school procedures.
* Experience with management systems such as Clipboard and Synergetic.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
