We're looking for a Senior Communications Coordinator to play a key role in elevating GCPHN's communications, marketing and media activity.
In this senior role, you'll provide expert advice, lead content and publications, coordinate media, and help shape a high-performing communications team.

What We Offer
Remuneration package of $104,271 - $117,137 + Super
Full-time fixed-term contract until 30 June **** with possible extension.

About The Role
Provide senior-level communication counsel and implementation across the organisation
Support the planning and delivery of integrated communications, marketing and media strategies
Drive awareness and engagement with GCPHN programs, services and strategic priorities
Support and develop the Communications team through guidance and feedback
Lead GCPHN's publications, including planning, writing, editing, design and distribution
Strengthen GCPHN's digital channels, brand and messaging through high-quality, consistent and engaging content and storytelling
Coordinate media relations by preparing media releases, pitching stories and supporting spokespeople and media events
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Track, analyse and report on communications performance to support continuous improvement
Eligibility Criteria
Essential
Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or health promotion and/or minimum of three years equivalent experience
Experience guiding and developing team members
Advanced editorial and professional writing skills, with the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences and channels
Proven experience in planning, writing, designing and producing publications
Strong media relations experience, including pitching, responding to enquiries and supporting spokespeople
Experience delivering digital and multichannel communications, including content development, social media management and website updates
Strong conceptual thinking, excellent attention to detail and high editorial standards
Demonstrated ability to measure, analyse and report on communications performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
Proficiency using CMS platforms, email marketing tools, social media tools, Canva, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office and related platforms
Desirable
Experience with Meta Ads Manager and/or Google Ads
Photography, videography and basic editing skills
Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
Experience within primary health care or not-for-profit settings
Experience writing for behaviour change, public health communication or communicating complex health information
