Peninsula Boutique Hotel is seeking a motivated and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our team at Port Douglas’ only beachfront boutique hotel, overlooking the Coral Sea and Four Mile Beach.
This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys working morning shifts in a relaxed yet professional environment, delivering a high-quality à la carte breakfast experience for hotel guests.
Position Details
* 4–5 days per week
* 20–30 hours per week
* Morning shifts only: approximately 6:00am – 11:30am
* Consistent roster
* Immediate start available
About the Role
You will be responsible for running the à la carte breakfast service, preparing fresh, well-presented dishes in line with the quality and standards expected of a 4-star boutique resort in Port Douglas.
The role suits someone who is organised, efficient and takes pride in producing great food and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking à la carte breakfast dishes
* Maintaining excellent presentation and food quality
* Ensuring efficient service during breakfast periods
* General kitchen duties including prep, cleaning, and organisation
* Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
* Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
About You
* Previous breakfast or café kitchen experience preferred
* Ability to work independently and stay organised during service
* Strong attention to food quality and presentation
* Reliable and comfortable with early morning starts
* Positive team attitude
