We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Support Services Officer. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients who experience confusion or disorientation, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their stay.

Your responsibilities will include providing short-term assistance to patients at risk of falls, disruptions to treatment, or becoming lost, all while working closely with nursing teams to follow care plans and protocols.

You will collaborate with the BART nurses or AHC to implement tailored care plans and will escalate any clinical concerns to the appropriate nursing team when necessary.
">
The ideal candidate will have high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to document patient care effectively.
">
In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to work with different patients and contribute to their care on a daily basis.

This is a part-time role, working over 7 day rotating roster including Early, Late & Night shifts.

About This Role

* You will be responsible for providing support to patients who require assistance with mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living.

You will work collaboratively with nursing staff to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

You will be required to maintain accurate records of patient interactions and provide regular handovers to ensure seamless continuity of care.

You will be expected to participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care.

You will be required to work in a variety of business areas based on need, offering you the opportunity to work with different patients and contribute to their care on a daily basis.

You will be required to work a rotating roster, which may include early, late and night shifts.

About You
">
To succeed in this role, you will have:

Vocational qualifications in Individual Support or Disability Care (Cert III or IV) or relevant education in aged care.

High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to document patient care effectively.

Proven experience providing care in a healthcare setting, with a focus on person-centred care.

* ">
Knowledge of safety standards, patient dignity, and relevant healthcare legislation and ethics.

A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
