Our company is looking for a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Sous Chef.
* This position will involve planning, supervising, and monitoring food production and menu for high-volume catering and functions across multiple sites.
* The successful candidate will have the ability to establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure best price and quality of produce.
* Effective communication with the culinary team will be essential to ensure clear understanding of tasks and goals.
* Maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation will be a key responsibility.
* Overseeing inventory, procurement, cost control, and minimizing food wastage will also be an important aspect of this role.
* Actively maintaining a high standard of food safety, allergen awareness, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) will be critical.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef.
* A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Cert IV preferred).
* Specific background in corporate catering, fine dining, events, or high-volume catering.
* Strong leadership abilities with an eye for detail.
* A high degree of food safety knowledge.
