Key Opportunity:
The Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub at the University of Sydney are seeking an AI in Research Training Lead to design, deliver, and scale a national training program on the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in life science research.
This nationally significant role will empower researchers to apply AI methods to tasks such as text and code generation, data analysis, and literature synthesis, while building critical awareness of their limitations and ethical implications.
As a member of a collaborative and diverse team, you will join a community committed to inclusive and open training and digital research capacity building across the life sciences and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with trainers, bioinformaticians, and data scientists to identify training needs and create opportunities.
* Deliver national, high-quality, hands-on training in AI methods tailored to life science research.
* Design, produce, and present new training materials aligned with international best practice and evidence-based pedagogy.
* Contribute to the delivery of the Australian BioCommons national training program through workshops, webinars, and reusable digital resources.
* Represent Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub in national collaborations with universities, institutes, and research facilities.
