Job Description
Our organisation is seeking a dedicated agronomist to develop strong relationships with customers in Northern Queensland. The primary focus of this role will be on broadacre sugar cane cropping and providing technical support to farmers and producers in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide agronomic and technical advice to clients, while also selling products both in-store and on-farm.
* Build long-term client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their business goals and sharing relevant information to enhance their farming enterprises.
* Maintain existing customer relationships while targeting new clients through superior sales and agronomic services.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest plant production practices and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.
Requirements
A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field is essential, along with a current driver's license.
* Experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will be highly beneficial.
* Strong customer service, organisational, administrative, and computing skills are necessary.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
* Demonstrated understanding of the sales process and strong call cycle management skills are desirable.
