Our group has a diverse mix of subcontracted and company-owned vehicles, ranging from cars to semi-trailers, plus an array of specialized vehicles including power tailgates, crane trucks, and container transport including side loaders. Our drivers deliver anything from small envelopes to a semi-trailer carrying a 6m wide load.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
You will be responsible for:
- Determining, implementing, monitoring, and auditing Swift Transport's human resource management strategies, policies and plans that meet the needs of Swift Transport.
- Liaise between departments or other groups in Swift Transport to improve function/ communication.
- Developing and implementing appropriate performance management plans and strategies to improve individual and team performance in Swift Transport.
- Representing Swift Transport in any negotiations with unions and employees to determine remuneration and other conditions of employment.
- Developing and implementing appropriate occupational health and safety programs and any other relevant programs and also ensure that Swift Transport complies with any statutory requirements.
- Having oversight of any redundancy and employee retrenchment policies at Swift Transport.
- Monitoring and evaluate Swift Transports employment costs and productivity levels.
- When required, advising other managers in personnel and workplace relations matters.

- Employee relation skills: The ability to effectively manage relationships between employer and employee and be able to address any complaints and foster a positive work environment.
- Communication skills: Have strong verbal and written communication ability to effectively interact with people
- Conflict resolution skills: The ability to effective mediate disputes and resolve conflicts in a fair and effective manner.
- Compliance/Legal knowledge: Be able to ensure that the relevant laws/regulations are adhered to.
- Ethics & Integrity: Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Digital/Data literacy: Be able to utilise appropriate HR software and data analytics to make informed decisions.
Pay: $83,918.48 - $163,004.53 per year
Schedule:
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Strathfield South NSW 2136: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
