are seeking an experienced
Leading Hand Carpenter
to join a well established high-end residential builder delivering projects across Melbourne
Our client has been operating for over 15 years, creating a strong reputation for delivering bespoke new homes, renovations, and extensions valued up to $6m. With a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects, they're looking to bring a motivated and capable Leading Hand on board to support continued growth.
This role would suit a skilled carpenter who enjoys being hands-on while taking on greater responsibility, working closely with the Director & leadership team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Acting as a representative of the business on site, this is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow with the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in leading and coordinating teams across multiple sites
* Planning daily and weekly schedules, allocating work, and tracking progress
* Ordering and coordinating materials, tools, and equipment
* Ensuring site safety, compliance, and presentation standards are maintained
* Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Representing the business professionally with clients, consultants, and trades
* Working on the tools as required to support your team and keep projects on track
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified carpenter with 8+ years experience
* Experience delivering high-end or custom residential projects
* Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate teams
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, premium finishes, and site logistics
* Confidence reading and interpreting plans and drawings, with attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
* The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and control
