Overview
Registered Midwife - Maternity Core Unit.
Permanent full time (multiple positions available).
Applications will be assessed regularly throughout this campaign.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe, compassionate clinical care as a Registered Midwife in the Maternity service.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes.
Engage in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct person-centred care.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licence as a Registered Midwife.
Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
Pre-employment screening conducted, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
A period of probation may apply.
Salary and Benefits
Base Salary ranges between AUD $82,753 and $106,144 per annum (Midwife Grade 5).
12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual; tax savings through salary sacrificing options are available.
In addition: 2 return airfares per year to the nearest east coast provincial city (plus recreation leave) with 5 weeks annual leave and 17.5% loading/bonus.
2 weeks annual leave, travel as required, and enrolment/conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
Staff accommodation (if eligible) or private rental subsidy of AUD $82.50 per week for up to 17 months.
