About the program
We’re launching something groundbreaking – the headspace Early Psychosis (hEP) Service in Lutruwita Tasmania, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
This innovative program aims to provide young people (aged 12-25) with early detection and life-changing intervention for psychosis – a chance to make a difference when it matters most.
* Part-time (0.5 FTE) ongoing position, offering flexible working conditions
* The role is based in Nipaluna Hobart on the lands of the Muwinina people, the traditional custodians of the land.
About the role

Join our headspace Early Psychosis (hEP) program in Lutruwita Tasmania as a Clinical Director and lead a transformative mental health service that offers hope for recovery and growth.

As the Clinical Director, you will:
* Lead clinical services for the headspace Early Psychosis program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
* Provide clinical leadership and professional governance to medical staff, supporting their growth and development.
* Collaborate with managers to ensure seamless, coordinated mental health care for young people at risk or experiencing psychosis.
* Maintain strong relationships with Tasmanian Health to facilitate access to emergency and inpatient services.
* Oversee and support the EPPIC model of care, ensuring its implementation aligns with best practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Medical qualifications and full registration with AHPRA, including Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
* A proven track record in clinical psychiatry, with extensive experience in developing and implementing mental health programs.
* A strong understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislation.
* Management and administrative experience (desirable but not essential) to lead the service and execute strategic plans.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire multidisciplinary teams and foster continuous service improvement.
