Are you a pharmacist with a passion for teaching and education? The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) is on the lookout for a Manager - Education (Prescribing) to join our team.

* 12 months fixed term contract with the possibility of extension

About the role:

The Manager - Education (Prescribing) will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery and integration of new, innovative projects that support the evolving role of pharmacists, working closely with the Project Manager (Education) to scope, plan, deliver and implement initiatives aligned with the profession's expanded scope of practice and organisations strategic initiatives.

As Manager of our Expanded Scope team within Education and Training, this role will lead the design and rollout of high-quality education and training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of pharmacists and align with existing PSA systems, accrediting and regulatory requirements. Through strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, universities, and industry partners, this role will help identify future workforce needs and opportunities for new areas of practice. The role will also embed competency-based learning and assessment where appropriate, guide the adoption of digital learning solutions and blended learning strategies, and ensure programs reflect best practice in instructional design and professional development.

In collaboration with other PSA teams, the role will ensure broad visibility and uptake of training programs, implement methods to track program performance through KPIs and continuous improvement strategies, and support the transition of new initiatives into business-as-usual operations. With a strategic, collaborative, and outcomes-focused approach, this role will help ensure pharmacists are equipped to meet the demands of a dynamic and expanding scope of practice.

What we're looking for:

* Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist (preferred but not essential) or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, education, health sciences, or a related field (required)
* Proven ability to develop and implement education strategies, with expertise in competency-based training, curriculum design, assessment and accreditation
* Demonstrated experience in training and education program development or pharmacy workforce development.
* Experience in healthcare, education, government, or professional association settings, with knowledge of the pharmacy profession's evolving scope of practice (e.g. credentialed and prescribing pharmacists).
* Ability to liaise with government agencies, industry bodies, universities, and pharmacy professionals to advance pharmacy education initiatives.
* Proven experience in program delivery within allocated resources.
* Competence in Microsoft 365, Salesforce, learning management systems (LMS) including Moodle, e-learning technologies, and data analysis tools to support digital education delivery.
* High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-level reports, policy recommendations and educational content for diverse audiences.

Desirable

* Understanding of pharmacy practice legislation, accreditation requirements and professional standards in Australia.
* Ability to track, evaluate, and report on education programs' success using key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact assessments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects, supported by familiarity with project management methodologies.
* Relevant experience in project management, along with experience in budgeting and contract management.
