Clinical Development Specialist
As a Clinical Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in fostering the professional growth of caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and guide caregivers to achieve individual learning and development goals and meet departmental objectives.
* Collaborate with caregiver managers to address learning gaps and meet performance development goals.
* Work with Department Managers, other learning and development caregivers, and relevant stakeholders to support learning and development activities locally.
* Promote an interprofessional approach to delivering, assessing, and evaluating learning for all caregivers, creating a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment.
* Support the use of standardized, best practice tools, frameworks, and guidelines to deliver, assess, and evaluate learning activities.
* In collaboration with the L&D Coordinator, identify individual, local, and organizational learning needs through a learning needs analysis process.
* Apply adult learning principles when facilitating learning activities.
* Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assist team members to undertake the same.
* As directed by the L&D Coordinator, create learning events and record completions using the Learning Management System to meet individual professional development, local hospital/service, and organizational compliance and risk requirements.
* In collaboration with the L&D Coordinator and other key stakeholders, support the planning, onboarding, delivery, and evaluation of Pathways to Practice Graduate Programs and Pathway to Speciality Programs.
Requirements:
* Effective time management and organizational skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated understanding and experience applying adult learning principles to motivate and encourage caregivers.
* Interpersonal, communication, mentoring, and coaching abilities to engage with a diverse workforce for small group teaching and group presentations.
* Current registration as a Health Practitioner with AHPRA, clinical experience in a Medical specialty, and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, evidenced in a CPD record/Professional Practice Portfolio.
* Knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and Licensing processes, associated links to learning and development programs promoting quality service delivery and safety. Experience working with Learning Management Systems and MS Office packages is required.
* A qualification in or progression towards achieving a postgraduate certificate, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or other formal professional development relating to education and training, with recent experience as an educator, preceptor, or supervisor in a healthcare environment, is highly regarded.
