The VIC State Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales plans and activities to grow sales within a defined Victorian Territory and owning the Account Strategy for the Buying Groups at Head office level.
Reporting into the Head of Sales & Marketing this role is responsible for communicating and representing the brand to retail partners to drive growth.
Responsibilities
* Partnering with our retailers in developing a year on year growth strategy and proactively owning and growing your region by identifying and delivering sales-out activities.
* Holding comprehensive business discussions with store franchisees and managers, incorporating market intelligence, category information, sales data, marketing and promotional plans.
* The State AM will work closely with the state-based account managers/territory managers to deliver on the strategy.
* Develop strong customer relationships with key decision-makers of the defined Buying Groups.
* Conduct comprehensive account reviews with each buying group, including pricing, rebates, category range reviews, product launches and promotions.
* Communicate Buying Group updates and support state account managers in the execution of customer strategies.
* Solve problems for customers by acting as the interface between the customer and internal stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and developing innovative and tailored solutions.
* Develop strong cross-functional working relationships across the business to execute strategy and ensure customer needs are met.
* Planning and delivering all territory training activities including in-store retail staff product training, customer events.
* Actively participating with the team, providing regular reports, sharing feedback and best practices.
Experience Required / About You
* Experience in the Retail/Hardware industry a plus but not essential
* Experience as a Business Development Manager/Territory Manager/Account Manager and ready to step up
* Valid driving license
* Previous sales experience with retail channels
* Ideally you possess an interest in the trade industry / construction
