The Microbiology Division discovers microbiological solutions for the diagnosis of infectious disease and detection of bacterial contamination. We serve public health, clinical laboratories, food companies, environmental screening and pharmaceutical laboratories with a portfolio of products that include culture media, antimicrobial susceptibility testing solutions and market-leading molecular solutions for food safety testing.
**Job Title**: Maintenance Technician (Afternoon shift: 2pm - 10pm)

**How will you make an impact?**
The Maintenance Technician supports the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility by performing preventative maintenance tasks, internal calibrations and attend to equipment breakdowns when necessary. You will also provide technical support to plant facilities across utilities, manufacturing and administration and liaise with external contractors when required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Complete routine plant inspections and monitoring
- Respond to equipment/facilities/utilities breakdowns
- Complete any routine internal calibrations
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Record and maintain data collection spreadsheets and documents
- Provide reports on equipment and complete any relevant forms when equipment operation affects quality
- Perform investigations as per directive from the maintenance Manager
- Ensure all work is carried out as per site OHS&E requirements
- Engage in PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Activities
**How will you get here?**
**_Qualification and Experience:_**
- Diploma in mechanical, electrical, automation or relevant trade certificate
- Minimum 2 years in a Maintenance / Manufacturing Role
- Dual Trade or Disconnect/Reconnect (Motors) - (B Class) or Electrical Qualification would be advantageous
**_Knowledge, Skills & Abilities_**
- Experience in multitasking, prioritizing and showing initiative to complete tasks to achieve company goals
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to perform quick systematic fault finding read/understand technical drawings and Technical Manuals
