Overview
Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life. We are seeking an experienced Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Engineer to plan, develop, test, and deploy a Windows 11 Standard Operating Environment (SOE) across the enterprise. The role focuses on a smooth transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, aligning with security, compliance, and performance standards.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain the Windows 11 System Optimisation (SOE) image using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
* Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure SOE compliance with organizational policies.
* Conduct pilot deployments and gather feedback to refine the SOE.
* Document SOE configurations, deployment procedures, and support guides.
* Participate in change management and risk assessment processes, ensuring that all changes to the SOE are managed effectively and potential risks are identified and mitigated.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in SOE engineering and desktop deployment projects.
* Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 architecture and deployment methodologies.
* Proficiency with MECM/SCCM, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and Group Policy.
* Experience with application packaging and compatibility testing.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and enterprise security standards.
