About this Role
We are seeking two part-time Support Professionals to join our team. Reporting directly to the House Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dementia support services to clients, including building rapport and improving overall quality of life through ongoing support.
* Collaborate with the team to provide person-centred support to people living with dementia.
* Build rapport and provide companionship to clients living with dementia.
* Contribute to improving quality of life through ongoing support.
* Create an environment supportive of the wellbeing needs of people living with dementia, their families, and their carers.
* Plan and commit to activities that maintain skills and promote independence, respecting a client's personal choice.
* Communicate effectively and empathetically with people living with dementia and their carers.
* Engage in meaningful relations with people living with dementia, supporting their abilities, and promoting dignity and validation of their feelings.
About You
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing or Disability is required.
* Senior First Aid (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009) and Manual Handling (HLTWHS005) certifications are preferred; training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Previous experience within the aged care or healthcare sector is highly regarded.
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia and a current NDIS Worker Screening Check are mandatory.
* A COVID vaccination certificate is also required.
