The Role
AbervaleRetirement Village, located in Grovedale,is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Cook on a permanent Part-Time Basis.
Reporting the Head Chef, your duties will include:
You will be trained in and tasked with providing quality food service to our residents and assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations & events of the village.
- Food preparation and cooking according to set menu for the day
- Cleaning and upkeep of work station to food safety standards
- Work with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals to residents (approx. 25 servings per day)
- Work with Kitchen Assistant to clean up after dining service
Your Background
- Experience in a Café or Restaurant food operations.
- Have relevant cooking experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
- Be able to multitask and work unsupervised.
- Have a strong customer-service focus
Shifts
- Permanent Part-Time – 5 days per fortnight
- Friday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
- Sunday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
- Every second Saturday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
- Some extra hours may be required occasionally
