The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accountant (3–5 years' experience) to join our Perth team at Mutual Trust, an award-winning, purpose-led multi-family office.
This is more than a compliance role. You will work directly with high-net-worth private clients and Indigenous Trusts, supporting both accounting and project-based financial matters. You will attend client meetings where required, prepare cash flow reports and financial materials and collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated outcomes.
You will be mentored by experienced senior leaders while progressively building your confidence in client engagement. This role offers genuine variety, meaningful work and exposure to complex structures in a supportive and highly respected multi-family office environment.
What You'll Do
In this hands-on role, you'll manage core compliance work while supporting client meetings and broader engagement delivery. Key responsibilities include:
* Compliance across client structures (financial statements, income tax returns, BAS)
* Indigenous Trust reporting and cash flow preparation
* Budgets and project financial reporting
* Client meetings and meeting materials (incl. travel as needed)
* Liaison with auditors/ATO/advisers; workflow and deadlines managed
About You
You are technically sound, proactive and ready for a new challenge. You bring:
* 3–5 years' experience in Professional Services or Public Practice
* A degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce
* CA or CPA commenced (or willingness to commence)
* Competent in tax compliance and financial reporting
* Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A willingness to travel for client meetings (including regional travel)
* An interest in working within Indigenous Trusts and culturally sensitive environments
You are organised, professional and comfortable explaining financial concepts clearly to clients with varying levels of financial sophistication.
