Logistics Director Role
About the Role:
This critical leadership position is responsible for overseeing the entire journey of our products from processing to customer delivery. The role involves designing, implementing, and refining strategies for cold chain logistics, inventory management, and procurement functions.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive procurement, storage, and distribution strategies aligning with business growth objectives.
2. Prepare detailed inventory plans to maintain optimal stock levels balancing supply and demand without compromising availability.
3. Oversee robust recording and tracking systems to provide visibility over all stock movements ensuring data-driven re-ordering and re-stocking.
4. Lead negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers meeting stringent quality, cost, and delivery specifications.
5. Proactively coordinate internal departments for outward goods ensuring order accuracy and alignment with production schedules.
6. Serve as key point of contact for customers concerning complex logistics requirements.
7. Provide inspirational leadership and direction to logistics and procurement teams fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
