Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Workshop Supervisor with good knowledge of welding & general fabrication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate the successful execution of our clients ongoing Projects/jobs of various sizes on a daily basis in a fast-paced workshop environment.
* The ideal candidate will have the ability to clearly articulate the job expectations/time allocations including job follow up during the fabrication process with Fabricator/Project Managers
* Multitasking is essential as our client is a jobbing shop with small to medium work scopes constantly rotating through the workshop so labor man management & forward planning of 1-2 weeks is critical
* The successful candidate will be able to liaise between the workshop floor Fabricators & Project Managers to ensure appropriate labour, material, procedures are in place so work can be executed correctly in line with quote/estimate expectations
* Ability to identify/understand/work within job requirements - our client have work scopes which require high documented QA/QC input, and other work scopes which require quality fabrication to the company standard for a market competitive price/timeframe
* Manage labour issues/performance where required

Desirable Skills:
* Trade Qualified 1st Class Boilermaker, Sheet Metal Worker
* AS 1796 Certificate 7 for TIG Welding (Preferred but not essential)
* Welding Inspection Qualification like IWS, AS2214, AS1796 Certificate 10 (Preferred but not essential)
* 4 Years minimum trade experience in a Fabrication Workshop Supervisory role
* Stainless Steel & Carbon Steel Experience
