Anglicare is seeking a mission‐aligned and values‐led Program Lead to oversee our Financial Wellbeing services in the Illawarra. You will be based in Wollongong. Our team provides a range of Financial Capability (individual and group), Financial Counselling and related services both at the office and in diverse community locations. We aim to be capability‐focused and community‐centred, walking side by side with each person and empowering them to achieve lasting and transformative change.
In these roles, you will lead and develop frontline staff, ensure strong client outcomes and compliance, and embed a trauma‐informed, strengths‐based approach aligned with Anglicare's values and best practice. You will work closely with churches and other community partners and collaborate with other teams and Program Leads to ensure consistency and quality across areas. To be successful, you will need to lead by example in how you engage with all members of the community, and foster a strong, collaborative team.
About The Role
* Lead and develop the local Financial Wellbeing team
* Recruit and provide day‐to‐day leadership, supervision and performance support for frontline staff
* Ensure high‐quality, culturally sensitive, trauma‐informed service delivery which achieves best possible outcomes for clients
* Oversee program compliance, data collection and reporting
* Manage budgets and expenditure and achieve best possible outcomes within budget
* Build strong partnerships with churches, community organisations and other stakeholders
* Lead change well and contribute to local strategy and continuous improvement
* Foster a positive, high‐performing and values‐aligned team culture
About You
* Personal alignment with Anglicare's Christian vision, mission and values
* Experience leading teams in community or social services to develop a positive culture and deliver outcomes
* Strong coaching skills
* Substantial experience supporting people experiencing financial hardship
* Ability to genuinely understand and connect with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
* Ability to manage priorities, data and operational reporting in a fast‐paced environment
* Collaborative, values‐led and outcomes‐focused approach
* Communication skills (verbal and written, including reports and meetings)
* Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree in Social Work, Community Services, Management or similar)
* Willingness to travel between Sydney, Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands for leadership meetings and community events as needed
