The Eyre Hotel has been operating since 1961 and is a cornerstone of Whyalla hospitality. We are the first hotel as you enter Whyalla from Adelaide and offer a family-friendly bistro seven days a week, multiple bar spaces, gaming facilities, and quality accommodation for our guests.
The Role
This role plays a vital part in the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring our accommodation and shared spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
Your primary focus will be accommodation and guest services, with support provided across wider hotel cleaning as required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Cleaning and servicing guest rooms and accommodation areas in line with venue standards
* Cleaning common areas including corridors, stairways, guest lounges, and shared kitchens
* Replacing linen, towels, and guest amenities as required
* Realigning furniture and room amenities to prescribed layouts
* Cleaning and disinfecting all bathroom and toilet facilities
* Laundry duties, including washing and drying hotel linen and cloths
* Monitoring and replenishing supplies such as toiletries and paper products
* Safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals
* Identifying and reporting maintenance or supply issues to management
* Completing housekeeping checklists accurately
* Maintaining guest privacy, confidentiality, and room security
* Following all hotel policies, procedures, and safe work practices
About You
You take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and understand the importance of detail when it comes to guest experience.
Ideally, you will bring:
* Previous experience cleaning accommodation or similar facilities
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
* Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality
* Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safe handling procedures
* Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Clear communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
