The opportunity
The Health Service Design Lead within the Research and Innovation team oversees health service evaluations and design initiatives that enhance optimisation, innovation, and exploration across workstreams. Their role involves ensuring that Silver Chain's existing and future services remain up-to-date and yield significant outcomes and impacts.
Key responsibilities
The major accountabilities of this position are:
* Service Review and Design Activities: You will develop and manage service review and design initiatives that optimise, innovate, and explore new or enhanced models of care. These efforts align with Silver Chain's Future Care Strategy.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with both external and internal stakeholders, including funders, to identify, co-design, and deliver improved or innovative models of care.
* Research Contributions: Contribute to peer-reviewed journals by publishing insights related to service design and development. Additionally, present your findings at conferences and other public forums.
* Grant and Tender Support: Assist in grant and tender applications for service refinement or innovation. Your role involves effective planning, writing, and submission to secure funding.
* Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships both within Silver Chain and externally. These partnerships will help establish Silver Chain as a leader in delivering innovative services.
* Expert Insights: Provide expert recommendations and briefings to internal stakeholders, sharing learnings related to service optimisation and innovation.
* Report Dissemination: Lead the writing and dissemination of service review and design insights to ensure organizational learning and improvement.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and obtained the following qualifications:
* Relevant Health Degree with Postgraduate Qualification: While not mandatory, having a relevant health degree with a postgraduate qualification is desirable.
* Clinical Leadership Experience: Demonstrated significant experience in a clinical leadership role is essential.
* Service Design and Delivery Excellence: Proven excellence in designing and delivering health services, including both new and enhanced models of care.
* Program Logic and Evaluation Knowledge: Familiarity with program logic and evaluative techniques, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
* Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial at both strategic and operational levels. The ability to collaborate within a leadership team, negotiate effectively, and interact with senior executives is essential.
* Leadership Competence: Demonstrated experience in leadership, including effective communication of a vision, strategic planning, priority setting, and resource coordination within complex work programs. This should be achieved while adhering to tight deadlines and stringent quality and compliance requirements.
* External Relationship Building: The candidate should be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key external agencies and committees. This skill will help maximise Silver Chain's Future Care opportunities, outcomes, and reputation.
* Independence and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, consistently producing high-quality outputs.
* Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
* Competitive salary + Super + the ability to salary package up to $18,550.
