Overview
Kick start your physio career in Western NSW LHD with our award winning AHEAD program supporting early career allied health professionals. You’ll receive additional support for your first two years, build your network with a cohort of allied health peers across the district, and engage in professional development and interdisciplinary workshops building capability in clinical, leadership and quality improvement areas.
As a rural clinician you will see and treat a broad range of clinical presentations – far wider than you would see in any metro area. You will treat a variety of conditions under a rural generalist model of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
You’ll be well supported clinically, undertaking supervised clinical activities, develop cultural competency to provide appropriate care for the Aboriginal community in the region and apply your workplace education in improved care for patients/clients and their families.
In a small, close knit team of 4 Physiotherapists and 1 Allied Health Assistant you will be well supported and your dedication will be seen and appreciated. You will be an integral member of the community and you’ll see not only the results of your care, but the appreciation of the community in the role you play in their health.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills are needed, as is the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the capability to effectively prioritise and organise your own work/caseload.
It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Mudgee Health Service team, with this position potentially expanding to offer outreach services to nearby facilities at Rylstone & Gulgong. Working hours are 8.30am to 5pm weekdays, leaving your weekends free to explore the Mudgee region.
