About the Role
Hussey Corp is a locally owned contractor delivering projects, plant and trades across Queensland and Northern Australia. We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Cairns-based team.
This role involves maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial environments. Work is structured and site-based, with a focus on keeping systems running and completing installs to standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems including condensers, evaporators and
· Compressors
· Carry out routine maintenance to improve system performance and reliability
· Install new systems and components in line with specifications
· Conduct leak detection and repairs in line with regulations
· Complete service records and documentation
· Provide basic guidance to clients on system use and maintenance
About You
· Cert III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
· Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
· Current CPR/LVR
· White Card
· Manual Driver's Licence
· Working at Heights
· G1 – Apply Risk Management Processes
· Able to fault find and work independently
· Reliable and consistent approach to work
Desirable
· High Risk Work Licence (WP and/or LF)
· Confined Space
· First Aid Certificate
