This is a hands‐on role combining leadership, sales, and operational management, with a strong focus on safety and growth. The purpose of the Branch Manager role is to profitably grow our business across the geography through increasing market share, managing safe, efficient operations and driving exceptional customer experience.
What you will enjoy doing
* Increasing portfolio profitability through effective price, product substitution & contract management. Driving branch performance, including full P&L accountability. Growing sales through customer engagement and business development
* You will identify, develop, and commercialize growth opportunities with existing customer accounts and new business prospects, particularly in the gas and welding equipment business whilst working with local and trade allies within the local community and industry
* Management of the local distribution model and retail store – including inventory, cost control and leading the local team is part of this role
* You will be supporting, implementing, and driving group strategy, policies, and procedures
* In addition, you have solid understanding, monitoring, and reporting of competitor activity and market trends. You lead and promote customer‐centric focus, innovation in products & service
* Leading a strong safety culture with a focus on zero harm, coaching, and developing a high‐performing team
* Leading, coaching, and developing a high‐performing team. Overseeing branch operations, inventory, and service standards
* Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.Take ownership of developing, mentoring and coaching employees to build their skills and capabilities
What makes you great
* Proven leadership experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
* Strong sales focus with the ability to grow business
* Solid financial and commercial acumen (P&L experience)
* Background in welding, engineering, or mechanical industries (preferred)
* Passion for safety, customer service, and team development
* Willingness to travel and overlook Bendigo and Ballarat Branch operations
