Senior Health Information Management Advisor
, this role is part of a dynamic team responsible for managing health data collections across Victorian health services. As a
Data Officer
, you will play a key role in acquiring, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of health data to support critical reporting and decision-making processes within the Department.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the acquisition of health data from Victorian health services and ensure continuous data supply to meet key reporting timelines.
* Maintain data standards, implement annual changes, and apply business rules accurately.
* Work collaboratively with health services to resolve issues related to data compliance, timeliness, and quality.
* Contribute to the effective management of patient-level and aggregate data collections, including specification of data standards and system requirements.
* Interpret and advise on business rules and processes relevant to key health datasets.
* Ensure adherence to legislative frameworks and Departmental policies regarding data privacy, confidentiality, and security.
* Provide advice on data quality and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving accuracy and timeliness.
* Deliver responsive Helpdesk support and assist in preparing user manuals and technical documentation.
* Provide innovative solutions and reasoned recommendations to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.
