Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support and enable the successful execution of projects. This is a permanent position, working under the direction of the Head of PMO to appropriately scope, plan, and execute projects and initiatives using internal resources and 3rd‐party vendors to achieve agreed outcomes. The Senior IT Project Manager is a key liaison with both clients and internal customers to deliver on approved initiatives and projects of varying size and complexity. This role will work with stakeholders to understand business needs, obtain, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for business change to inform required solutions.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Represent Gallagher Bassett as the main point of contact with clients for project deliverables.
* Build strong relationships through engagement with business stakeholders, colleagues, other project managers, and key stakeholders across all stages of the project.
* Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to facilitate and positively influence solution development and operational support.
* Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering meetings.
* Support change initiatives with internal customers and stakeholders, appropriately challenging decisions and risks to project outcomes.
* Scope initial deliverables of the project by coordinating internal teams and experts.
* Analyse prior similar projects and initiatives to ensure lessons learned are applied to future work.
* Present project plans, progress, budget tracking, and analysis, and be comfortable altering your plan to reach revised timelines or goals.
* Hold activity owners accountable for their deliverables.
* Track the progress of deliverables and highlight key risks and the mitigation of these risks with the activity owners.
* Create mechanisms to measure the value delivered back into the Gallagher Bassett business.
* Sustain any improvements or program changes made over time, ensuring that changes are embedded and understood within the business.
Qualifications
* Strong demonstrated IT Project Management experience.
* Proven skills in delivering operational or incremental systems of work improvement initiatives using Agile, Prince2, CAPM, PMP, or similar principles.
* Eligibility for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Security Clearance.
* Advanced facilitation and workshop skills.
* Change management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to manage client and internal relationships and corresponding timelines.
* Excellent planning, prioritisation, and analytical ability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment.
