About the Opportunity
As our Warehouse Manager, you'll be at the heart of our distribution operations, overseeing the safe and efficient flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. You'll lead a dedicated team of three staff members, guiding their daily activities and fostering their professional development, all while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day workings of the warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring our products reach their destinations accurately and on time, maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Responsibilities
Implement and refine best practices to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse operations, consistently meeting legislative requirements and internal standards. You will be instrumental in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategies to enhance overall performance.
Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including accurate goods receipting, diligent stock checks, and efficient handling of returns. You will also be responsible for managing annual stocktakes, ensuring precise inventory records.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure orders are delivered and dispatched in a way that consistently meets our customer needs.
Inspire and motivate your team, allocating tasks, identifying training needs, and supporting their growth to achieve peak performance. You will be on the floor, actively participating and guiding your team.
Ensure the proper servicing, maintenance, and safety checks for all site assets, plant, and equipment.
What You'll Bring
At least 5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution centre setting.
Demonstrated ability to implement and refine operational procedures and safety guidelines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interfacing with staff, external stakeholders, and customers.
A current forklift licence and a Victorian driver's licence.
Qualifications in supply chain or logistics are a plus.
