Primary objective
Supports projects, events, data analysis, and information sharing processes for the Territory Community Safety Coordination
Centre (TCSCC). This position is responsible for assisting in community events, patroller networks, and the administration of
reporting including hot spots, finance compliance, and other business unit needs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage requests for events and community safety services relating to patroller networks, including processing requests
for information and documenting approvals to release.
1. Assist in the forward event plan for Territory Community Safety Events, including participating at events and sharing
information about safety services, referring client concerns and communicating verbally with the general public.
1. Support team members and partner agency liaison officers in accessing information and providing administration support.
2. Build and maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery of the functions of the
TCSCC.
1. Contribute to a culture of continuous business process improvement with suggestions for improvements to work tasks.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience working with Microsoft Suite of programs in particular outlook, excel and word.
1. Good written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage with staff and members of the public
from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and appropriate manner.
1. Experience or ability to develop in assisting collation of materials for reports and document development with team
support.
1. Sound organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks working as part of a small team to meet tight deadlines.
2. Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members and clients and maintain confidentiality and
discretion.
6. Act in a manner of highest integrity and confidentiality respecting government information that may be sensitive or
personal.
Desirable
1. Some understanding of community safety, policing, crime and intelligence reporting in the Northern Territory context.
