**Your next career opportunity**
As Team Leader for Placements and Academic Support in the Melbourne Veterinary School, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating clinical rotations and extramural studies placements for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students. You'll lead a dedicated team across multiple campuses, overseeing student progression and academic support functions. This role offers you the opportunity to shape veterinary education, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in placement and academic processes.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- **Coordinate Student Placements**: Oversee planning and quality assurance for clinical rotations and extramural studies placements for DVM students.
- **Lead Academic Support**: Manage operational planning for teaching and learning support, including curriculum changes, timetabling, and results coordination.
- **Develop and Implement Policies**: Review existing policies and procedures, drafting and implementing new ones to enhance administrative processes.
- **Manage Stakeholder Relationships**: Coordinate an outreach strategy for clinical placement providers to build relationships and ensure appropriate supply of placement opportunities.
- **Supervise and Develop Team**: Lead a small team of professional staff, providing clear goals, performance objectives, and support for their professional development.

You are an experienced leader with strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in educational processes and student support services.
**You may also**:
- Hold a tertiary degree with relevant experience in education administration or a related field.
- Have demonstrated experience in project or process management, meeting deadlines and evaluating outcomes.
- Possess excellent planning, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to solve problems and manage competing demands.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of managing diverse stakeholders.
- Be proficient in data analysis and report preparation, with competence in using business enterprise systems and MS Office suite.
- Have experience in tertiary education settings and administering work-integrated learning or student placements (desirable).
