Farm Manager Position
This is a hands-on opportunity to lead a diverse farming operation. The ideal candidate will have a balance of practical work and administrative duties, reporting directly to the family owners.
The role requires comprehensive farm planning, implementing and delegating monthly, weekly, and daily tasks, overseeing two full-time employees with the ability to engage casual labour during peak periods. All aspects of cropping, from seeding to harvesting, are included in this position. This includes spraying and spreading using modern equipment. While chemical certification is preferred, training will be provided for the successful applicant.
The position also encompasses extensive stock experience necessary for planning and executing all required animal husbandry tasks. These include organizing crutching, shearing, lamb and calf marking, pregnancy testing and scanning. A Side by Side vehicle will be provided for on-farm use to assist with all aspects of livestock husbandry and movements.
A key aspect of this role is accurate record-keeping for the seamless flow of the business. Agriwebb is used for all record-keeping for both livestock and cropping enterprises. Further Agriwebb training can be provided for the successful applicant.
This position may require working extended hours and some weekends, particularly during seasonal peaks like harvest and seeding, in varied conditions.
