About the Role

a&co Recruitment Partners are proud to partner with the City of Karratha to recruit a HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with leaders to create strong and engaged workplaces.

Karratha is a vibrant hub and the largest city in the Pilbara, offering endless opportunities thanks to billions in planned investment across diverse sectors. With year-round warm weather, stunning landscapes, and a welcoming, family-friendly community, it's a place where lifestyle and career come together. Working with the City of Karratha means joining a progressive organisation committed to shaping this dynamic region—so you can build your future while enjoying everything Karratha has to offer.

In this role, you'll work alongside leaders and teams across the organisation, providing trusted advice and practical HR solutions. You'll help align people strategies with business goals, support managers through the employee lifecycle, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen engagement, performance and compliance.

What you'll be doing

* Partnering with leaders to understand workforce needs and provide strategic HR advice
* Supporting employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution and performance management
* Contributing to workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and talent development initiatives
* Coordinating and improving corporate induction and performance review processes
* Assisting with the development and application of HR policies, procedures and systems
* Using HR data and systems to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
* Ensuring HR practices comply with relevant employment legislation and standards
* Leading or supporting people-focused projects as required

What we're looking for

* A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Solid experience in a generalist HR or business partner role
* Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
* Confidence advising managers on complex people matters
* Well-developed communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
* The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Why join us?

You'll be part of a supportive People & Culture team where your expertise will make a real difference. This role offers the opportunity to influence organisational outcomes, work on meaningful projects, and contribute to a workplace culture that values respect, inclusion and continuous improvement.

If you're a HR Business Partner ready to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact Hannah Lelliott on or email with your resume and cover letter, outlining how you meet the key requirements.
