We are seeking a Recovery Coach to join our Mental Health and Wellbeing team. Reporting to the Team Leader – Mental Health and Wellbeing (Coaching), this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering NDIS-funded recovery-oriented coaching activities.
Job Description
You will work in partnership with people experiencing severe mental illness and emotional distress, providing one-to-one coaching sessions and facilitating group programs that support skill development, personal recovery goals and overall wellbeing. The role also supports referral pathways, NDIS service coordination, and accurate documentation and reporting.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented one-to-one coaching sessions
Facilitate and design group programs focused on mental health and wellbeing
Support participants to develop and implement personal recovery plans
Maintain accurate client records, data entry and reporting in line with NDIS and organisational requirements
Build and maintain effective referral pathways and stakeholder relationships
Contribute to service development, quality documentation and continuous improvement
Work collaboratively as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing team
Desired Skills And Experience
What we're looking for
Degree-level qualification in a relevant human services field, or significant demonstrated experience
Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice and coaching principles
Experience supporting people with severe mental illness and/or psychosocial disability
Well-developed group facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the NDIS and community support services
Strong organisation, time management and teamwork skills
Requirements
Current Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willingness to obtain) – No Card, No Start applies
Current National Police Certificate
Class C driver licence
Ability to work flexible hours if required
