The ClientStar Discount Chemist Emu Park is a registered pharmacy outlet chain located in Emu Park, regional Queensland.The RoleThey are seeking a full-time Retail Pharmacist to join their team in Emu Park, Queensland.This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $85,000 plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality and efficient pharmacy services including dispensing, counselling, information provision, and primary health care.Engage with GPs, other allied health professionals, healthcare providers, and the community to deliver collaborative, patient-centred care.Dispense prescriptions according to Pharmacy Board regulations, utilizing dispensary assistants for routine dispensing tasks when available.Offer medicines information and advice on optimal medication use.Deliver high levels of customer service in a competent and timely manner.Promote and provide professional services such as clinical interventions, medication management, health promotion, and screening services.Maintain vigilance for patient safety and optimal medication use during dispensing and medication provision.Intervene as needed to prevent medication mishaps or improve health outcomes, recording clinical interventions using Guild Care software.Provide opioid replacement services (in participating pharmacies).Implement staged supply services upon prescriber or patient/carer request, following guidelines.Record and complete all dispensing activities in accordance with HIC requirements.Report errors, discrepancies, or breaches of ethics related to pharmacy practice.Assist in maintaining dispensary stock control, including checking expiry dates, stock rotation, and fridge temperature recording when required.Order and receive pharmacy stock following store guidelines.Continuously update professional knowledge regarding drugs, their usage, dosage, side effects, and complementary products/services.Stay informed about current and new legislation to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, including the Pharmacy Practice Act 2004, OH&S, and QCPP.
