As the Psychologist with Student Support Services you will be required to work as part of a small multidisciplinary Area-based team to build the capabilities of student support services and schools to support children and young people to manage complex behaviours and access their education.
You will provide a range of psychology supports to the SSS Workforce and to school‐aged students to improve student learning. You will have highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills that enable you to liaise effectively with a range of people in the education community and beyond.
The purpose of Student Support Services is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and network levels.
Student Support Services (SSS) do vital work in supporting students' health and well‐being – particularly our most vulnerable students – and SSS are critical to building an excellent education system that reduces the impact of disadvantage.
The successful applicant will be required to work from either our Bentleigh or Frankston office but move across Bayside as/when required. Supervision and peer support is available within the team.
