This role involves providing on-site leadership and support at one of our leisure and aquatic centres. As a proactive leader, you will guide staff, uphold safety and service standards, and collaborate with the Leadership Team to deliver exceptional community experiences.
To succeed in this position, you must have proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality customer experiences. You should be skilled in managing staff performance and team operations, with experience in pool supervision, plant operations, and water quality management. Additionally, you will require strong background in customer service within large leisure/aquatic centres, effective communication skills (verbal, written, and digital) and proficient in administration and meeting KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing leadership and guidance to Leisure & Aquatic staff
* Supporting training and offering technical advice to the team
* Performing Duty Manager or Lifeguard shifts (minimum two per week)
* Overseeing daily operations and seasonal task coordination
* Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations
* Assisting in planning and evaluating centre operations
* Managing emergency procedures and responding to incidents
* Supervising bookings, hires, and customer engagement
* Reporting incidents and hazards via Solv Safety
* Monitoring cleaning, maintenance, and facility standards
* Supporting budget planning and managing daily financial performance
* Ensuring adherence to our Customer Service Charter
* Managing kiosk/customer service area budgets and purchase orders
* Building strong relationships with users, clubs, and hirers
* Handling customer information in line with privacy regulations
* Contributing to operations manual reviews and updates
