About the role
SouthCut Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Lang Lang, Victoria. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the smooth execution of our construction projects, operating a range of heavy machinery with precision and care.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate various heavy machinery, such as excavators and Posi tracks to complete a wide range of construction tasks
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Work closely with the construction crew to coordinate the efficient movement and placement of materials and equipment
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with the site supervisor to troubleshoot any operational issues and implement effective solutions
- Contribute to the overall success of the construction project by delivering high-quality work within established timelines
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in the construction industry
- Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery, such as excavators, Posi Tracks and bulldozers
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges on the job
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Valid driver's licence and construction equipment operator's certificate
- HR License (Non-Synchro) HC is desirable.
