Survey Plus is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team as a Survey Technician. Our company is based out of Hobart, Tasmania and is involved in a number of diverse projects that cover all sectors of the building industry. At Survey Plus our goal is to provide high quality Engineering surveys to the building industry in an efficient manner. Unlike other surveying firms Survey Plus specialises only in Engineering surveys, this enables us to consistently offer high quality surveys that are easy to read and use.
As a Survey Technician, you will work closely with our experienced team members to produce high quality Detail Contour and Feature Surveys and conduct accurate Construction Setouts. You will be able to operate specialised equipment and software, conduct building setouts and create detail contour and feature surveys for our clients.
The ideal candidate for the position will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and have a strong attention to detail. You will need to have a willingness to learn, be reliable, punctual and have a positive attitude in the workplace.
Role & Responsibility
* Produce basic plans of survey
* Operate surveying equipment
* Perform surveying computations
* Produce computer-aided drawings
* Collect spatial data using a Total Station
* Set out site and building works
Requirements
* Passion for the Surveying Industry
* Minimum of 1 year experience is required.
* Drivers license and reliable transportation
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors
* Strong mathematical skills
* Strong communication skills - verbal and written
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Self‐motivated and ability to work autonomously or part of a team
